I agree with Debra and Susie -- the housing market is tight right now, especially for renting, so be prepared for a bit of an involved search. You'll probably want to set up a few email alerts on Daft.ie and rent.ie (both sites popular for posting available housing). The suggested neighborhoods are all great. You may want to consider your husband's commute, as public transit isn't always direct from A to B. The bus map is a sort of starburst centered on city centre, so if you're living say, northeast and working in southeast, you'll have a bit of a painful commute unless you cycle. Just something to keep in mind! For yourself, there's a lot of hotdesking opportunities, mainly located near Smithfield, the Liberties (in and around Guinness), and Grand Canal Dock (where Google, Facebook, etc are located).
Dublin is organised by postcode, with the even numbers to the south of the river and odds to the north, radiating out in a sort of spiral from low numbers to high. So, when you're looking at an address, you know that anywhere in Dublin 1-8 is going to be dense, downtown, walkable, while double digits will place you further out of town.
