Hello , I am very interested to know if those amount of money are acceptable in order to live in Hong Kong. I have an offer from a company there in order to work as a marketing manager. I am very interested to know your opinion about this subject.
HKD10.000/month salary is far beyond the line to have a "living" in Hong Kong - it is just the bare minimum to survive there as an expat.
A waiter earns more than that per month in Hong Kong.
Where are you from? Would be better to explain with your expectations depends on the country you are from.
Marketing manager for 10000hkd per month is way underpaid. It's more like a salary for marketing executive (entry level) and no you will not be able to live properly unless you don't have to pay for rental for your flat. If you find a studio flat (25m2) in Kowloon or new territories (forget about hong Kong island or anywhere near city centre) it's gonna be like hk$7-8K minimum
Not okay, unless the company provide accomodation, you may be able to “live” here....
I would say that even if the company provides accommodation, 10 000 HKD is too little to earn as a marketing manager.
Thank you very much about your answers !!! You helped me a lot !!! I hope I can help you also for questions about Greece !!!
10.000 is way underpaid - it's more a salary for an internship postition than a full time job in your field.
