Doable to spend a couple months in Toulouse for non-French speakers?

Toulouse seems like a very nice city to spend a few months, possibly this winter, but will it be challenging to make friends and go about daily life with very little French knowledge? I did a couple years of French in junior high, but that's faded long ago...

Hello: ) Yes, a trip in Toulouse is doable. As it is a City with many students it will probably not be that hard to fit in. I think there are Erasmus parties sometimes in which you find people from everywhere! maybe if you go there you can try to find some people to do tandem, to speak French/English. The only problem is to find an apartment. A shared flat would be easier..

Keep in mind that there is a lot of french people who doesn't speek English. But people here in Toulouse seem to welcome you. I think for two months it's very doable, it worths it.

And sure the weather is fine, especially in winter :).
As Cyril said there is the international students, but also all the people living here to work with Airbus and the aeronautics and technology field. They usually speek an at least professional english. There is the Café Des Langues in the bar Le Cactus, like every two weeks, where people come to speak different languages. You can find the dates on the CouchSurfing Events, maybe elsewhere.

So i think that for a few months, that definitly worths the try !
