Friends,Can you please guide how to find apartment in Helsinki?I need just one bedroom and living room flat.It can be in some nature loving outer areas as well. Thanks
The best way to get an apartment in Helsinki is either in the Facebook group ”Vuokra-asunnot Helsinki” or from the website www.tori.fi. If you decide to post on FB, adding a photo of yourself and informing potential renters can go a long way.
Try looking in oikotie.fi, etuovi.com or tori.fi
Close to nature, but relatively central are for instance Meilahti/Taka-Töölö, Lauttasaari, Arabianranta, Kulosaari and parts of Herttoniemi.
Reittiopas.fi might also help you check how well public transportation works in the area you are looking in.
Hey! Have look in these Facebook groups:https://www.facebook.com/groups/235368102105/?ref=br_rshttps://www.facebook.com/groups/396377200708807/?ref=br_rshttps://www.facebook.com/groups/319431488144851/?ref=br_rsThere are more groups for advertising apartments for rent. Vuokra means rent, asunto means apartment (asunnot is apartments - plural). So if those words are in the group name, that's what the group is for. Many people advertise in English or are able to reply in English if you send them a message. If you decide to rent in Helsinki area, I recommend a place that is near the metro. Have a look at the map to see which areas are connected to the city center by metro.Espoo and Vantaa are the two most popular areas outside Helsinki. Many people rent apartments there and commute to the center. It's cheaper to rent there but you'll have to take the train to Helsinki.I'm not too sure how much a 2 room apartment goes for in different areas but quite likely not for less than 1000 euros. But sometimes internet or electricity are included in the sum. Most houses have a laundry room so it might not be a problem if there isn't a washing machine in the apartment. And Helsinki is quite a green city. Even if you rent in the center, there will probably be a park near by.
