How to look for a job in Stockholm before moving in?

Hi All,

I am an Indian resident planning to move to Stockholm. I do not know any locals there, nor do I have any friends or relatives living there. Before moving, however, I plan on getting a job. Can anyone please suggest the best way to find a job?
Some related questions that come to my mind are:
1) Do I need to visit Sweden to look and apply for a job?
2) Do I need to have a VISA to get a job?
3) Is a knowledge of Swedish absolutely necessary?
4) Is it extremely difficult for an immigrant to find a job?

Looking for a job in Stockholm depends a lot on the field you are working in. If you want a job as a software developer, data scientist or similar, the easiest is to search in Linkedin and monster.se - there is a wide variety of job advertisements available from a big number of very international companies. Stockholm has a great scene of tech startups and finding jobs should be relatively easy. Many companies are ready to sponsor visa and relocation to bring in talent from outside EU as well. Also, most of these companies have a working language English, so not knowing Swedish up front is definitely not a requirement. Many employers offer company-paid language lessons for employees.
It may be significantly harder to find a job in non-tech fields, however, and especially in service-related areas basic Swedish may be a significant plus.
You do need a VISA, in case applying from outside EU, but many companies are ready to support that, there are also specific programs to make that easier. But as said, it all depends on the education and field of operation. I can unfortunately mostly only speak about software development field.
