What is the purpose of your stay? If work, then, just try to be friendly with your new colleagues. Don't try to live "your own life". That's the worst in our company. Many foreigners are talking just to other foreigners, especially in their language and they feel offended that Czechs don't talk to them...
I want to teach English in Prague and I very much want to stay there. I've been there 2 times before and I love love love the city and the people and of course I'm very friendly and happy person. I would try to speak Czech whenever possible because I'd like to practice it, but sometimes English may be more appropriateappropriate . I'm kind and professional amd want to have fun with everyone
