I can concur with the previous reply. Being in the technical/ software industry I recently relocated away from Las Vegas. The opportunities are very slim and advancement is minimal. The cost of living is not bad if you have a remote position or if you acquire a job that pays well. Otherwise just moving there in hopes to land something right away is not a realistic goal. It is better to apply in advance online if you are aiming for hospitality or health sector otherwise you will need a shoe in somewhere to get your resume to the right person. The 'mob' mentality of networking is still prevalent there.
