No. This is comparing apples with oranges. Berlin is unique in Europe based on its history, development and compared to Leipzig simply because of its size and international reputation not even close.
That said Leipzig is growing some amazing creative and art scene, and for young creatives it gives a lot of space to play. If Berlin feels too big, or too expensive, Leipzig might be a good alternative very close by.
