Is the famously awful traffic in Mexico City as bad as people make it out to be? Are there other ways to readily get around the city?
Yes, it really is. My current job is 6 miles (10 k) from home. I usually spend 2-3 hours in traffic. On rush hour, the fastest way to commute back home I have found, is running.
on the second question, if you are lucky to live in the inner city (like me), it is a very walkable city, and there are rental bikes everywhere (just a bit suicidal to my taste, too many bike accidents)
It's pretty bad but not every single time. Oh, and there's also the subway.
The traffic is normal, public transport is best way, metro and metrobus only in downtown the bike is the best
Yes.Depending on your commute you can use public transportation, mainly Metro and Metrobus work pretty well or the public bikesharing system Ecobici.
yes it is.. but there are peak traffic hours like in any other place, you need to learn to program your day and times having traffic in mind!
