Jobs in Barcelona - Web Developers?

I am currently a web developer/software configuration in Los Angeles with about 2 years of work experience. I have experience in javascript(JS), ruby on rails, HTML/CSS.

I want to know how is the job market for this field? is it possible to find a good paying job, is the demand high there?

The market is amazing. The demand is really big since Barcelona is one of the cities with more IT companies in Europe. You won't have any problem. Just take a look at LinkeIng.

Btw, my company is looking for a JS engineer (I tried to send you a private message to talk about it if you are interested, but there is no option to do it or at least I'm not finding it....)

How are the salaries for a web developer in barcelona? before/after tax? is it enough to live there comfortably?

Well... Barcelona is quite expensive. If you wanna live alone in a flat, in a normal area, expect to have more or less 1000€ each month to pay the rent, internet, etc...

If wanna share a flat, maybe about 600€.

It depends of you experience you can get one salary or other. Between (yearly gross) 30k - 45k. Maybe with 2 years of work experience expect between 30-36K. This should be between 1950-2250 net salary monthly.

I mean, you can get 2000€ net salary each month. If it's enough? I guess yes, not bad. But again, Barcelona isn't a cheap city but it depends of your type of life

I would like to live in a flat, maybe 2 bedroom/1 bathroom, I would live with my wife, she is in banking here in US, if we combine both our salaries, it would be well over 2500 net salary per month. She has over 10 years of bank experience, would it be easy for her to get a job there in barcelona in that field?

Are the jobs there providing benefits? vacation? also how easy is it to start your own business there? I have few small side businesses i run here in US. is it easy to transfer that over?

I have a very relaxed life style easy going, i think barcelona will be fine for that
