Relocation to Turkey?

I am an Egyptian software engineer working remotely and want to relocate to Turkey or Malaysia.
I did a lot of research online but I am still confused and couldn't decide which is better for me.
giving that my salary is around $3000/month and I am single, which is better to relocate to Turkey or Malaysia?

The USD currency is your advantage, 1 USD is equal to ~5,3 TRY right now and it is anticipated to get a lot higher.

There are lots of things to consider about Turkey, but you should tell us about yourself first. So that I can suggest you to move or not.

I don't know about Malaysia but 3000 dollars a month is a good salary for Turkey. Where do you consider living in Turkey? İstanbul or somewhere on the coast? İstanbul is a lot more expensive then many other cities. The economical situation in Turkey is very unstable at the moment but since you will be earning dollars you woudn't have a big problem.

If you work remotely, then $3000/month is a great amount of money for Turkey. (Min. wage is around $300 in Turkey) Which means you'll have no problems financially whatsoever.

But you'll have language problems for sure whenever you need to deal with government officials or water/electric/telco companies.

If you can handle these, then you should be able to live a quality life in Istanbul and probably save half of your salary every month.

As any software engineer who is working remotely, I want a quiet place where I can work in peace. also I need a stable internet connection and strong community for software engineers (that's important since I plan to build my own startup and need co-founder/s).
I am not politically biased, just need a good place to work and start my own business. I thought Turkey would be a good choice because we share a common history.
