Aarhus is smaller and easier to get a feel of than Cph. I've lived in both places and found Cph to be a bit stuck up and difficult to get 'under the skin'. Aarhus people seem easier to talk to and more likeable. There's a booming startup scene in Aarhus these days, and you won't miss out on cultural input either if you choose to come here. Admitted, it's way smaller than Cph but it still has a distinct city feel and vibe. Being linked geographically to the European continent means a lot to the city's cosmopolitanism. Cph is surely a nation's capitol and it shows and feels as you make your way through the city. Aarhus is more liveable, easy going and slightly cheaper when it comes to real estate. As a newcomer to a country I would say that Aarhus is a good place to start - then you can move on to Cph if you like the country.
