I'm a freelance UX designer and currently live in Denmark. I've been offered to rent a room at my friend's place in Berlin for a year which I would love to do, but I hate working from home and want to meet new people in my area. Do you know of any great coworking places I should definitely check out in Berlin?
I definitely say have a look at the Betahaus Berlin location at http://www.betahaus.com/berlin.... I was in there for a few months until I switched jobs and moved into an actual office. It's very affordable, there's several different memberships and extra options depending on how much work you have and what you need and the people are great. Plus, there's a lot of cool events happening on a regular basis so you'll meet people for sure.
The Betahaus in Kreuzberg is the place to go. Great people, many startup people... quite big but cosy place. http://www.betahaus.com
Workfrom.co/Berlin is pretty light still, but has a few more suggestions. Worth adding to, too, once you find new places!
Mobilesuits in Pappelallee is also nice
I'd recommend Agora Collective, especially for designers.
I would say tuesday coworking (open monday to friday) in Schöneberg is worth a look - full disclosure: I manage tuesday coworking (open monday to friday) in Schöneberg. Nonetheless, it's very pleasant www.tuesdaycoworking.com
