Hi Daniel,
There are a lot of startups in gothenburg, and a couple of english speaking cafe's.
What are your particular skills?
• Easy to make friends:
Sure, if you join certain activities like football, it won't take long to make some new friends. It ight take a while longer than other countries, but it's not impossible!
• Car ownership
Don't know, sorry.
• What do i like about Gothenburg:
It's a relatively small city, friends live close by, a lot of fun stuff to do during the week and weekends. Pretty good labour market, very high living standards.
• Groceries:
Lidl, Willys, hemköp, ica, fram ekolivs, bara bra mat... lots of cheaper and more expensive food stores.
• Buying appartment
Not sure about the market right now, but it has been very expensive inside the city. If you look more to the suburbs, it is pretty affordable. Angered for example, only 15 mins with the tram to the central station.
• Football clubs
Loads! Swedes love football, there is 'korpen' a more relaxed and social amateur league, and the usual clubs that play in different leagues.
