I was wondering is there a good school to learn some moves or should I simply join people who dance on the streets (if I understand correctly there are lots of amateurs among them)?
Hello, there some schools but they're quite expensive. The best thing to start and know if you like it to go to school for, is to go to some Milongas. Mostly there a free class before they start to dance.
