What are the prospects for a software engineer who speaks French & English only?

I love the sunny weather and lower cost of living. But what are the prospects for a software engineer who doesn't speak Portugese (only French and English, with French and Canadian passports)? The median salary is 4 times less than what I'm paid now, I'd consider making the move but not if I have less disposable income. Any thoughts?
