As a capital city and a very old, historic one, I would expect Warsaw to have lots of cultural institutions I could enjoy, like museums, historic walks, and performance centres. Would I find lots of things like this, and where in the city?

If you are looking for guided tours you can check: http://www.welovewarsaw.pl/index.php?module=articles2&category=3&lng=en I am not 100% sure if they are still operating as their FB page is not updated but I tried several their trips 2 years ago a they were simple excelent.
