What do you think about going to university in Sao Paulo?

Unfortunately haven't had the chance to work their myself, but I had two colleagues that came from there and enjoyed their time.
I think USP is also ranking quite high in certain Global university rankings with some top 50 places, which means it's close to the best European Universities.

The Computer Science program of Universidade de São Paulo is one of the best in Latin America. It's a good university, but you may want to look for the Chinese universities also. They are even better. The university of Hong Kong is in the top 10.

USP is a great University, but consider the language. It would be very difficult to attend USP without speaking Portuguese.

I agree with you, USP is great, the federal universities in Rio de Janeiro have also a good quality education. But it is important for you to consider that the political and economical crisis are affecting brazilian higher education with "cuts in their expenses", what had a huge impact specially in the research field. Anyway, it is mandatory to speak portuguese or at least spanish.
