First of all, talk to your university about whether or not health insurance is covered by them or what the arrangement is if you're an exchange student- they will definitely know and should help you out with this. However, I know there are some NHS (that's the National Health Service) treatments that are available to everyone in the UK, including all international students - some emergency treatment, family planning services etc. Also, you're in the EU, so you should be able to get an European Health Insurance card - look it up on your government website - you can order it for free and it allows you to receive medical treatment in another member state free or at a reduced cost if it's an emergency (so you can't use it for say...a dental appointment). You should definitely get it if you don't have it yet.
