Which ride-sharing/taxi app do you think is the best in Seoul? Is Uber the go-to one, or are there other local or regional ones that I should use instead?
After Uber has been banned by the gov, KakaoTaxi is the most popular taxi app run by Kakao corp. (also running KakaoTalk, the most popular messaging app in S.Korea)This service is not supporting auto payment through a credit card. It just supports calling taxi remotely and works well in Seoul.
Uber's been banned in Seoul and now you can only use Uber Black, the premium Uber. I believe Kakao Taxi is the most popular cab hailing app in Korea right now, Kakao being the company that owns Kakao Talk, the most widely used messaging app here.
