There are definitely many things to keep one busy in Lille! Several museums (Palais des Beaux Arts, Musée d'histoire naturelle, La Piscine in Roubaix, LAM in Villeneuve d'Asq...) lots of shopping, many cafés, bars and nice restaurants, plus many cultural places with events and gigs going on all the time (Gare Saint Sauveur, Maisons Folies, L'Hybride, L'Aéronef, le Biplan, Le Grand Mix... ) I often find myself having to choose between several cool events on a given night. A lot of things are also going on in surrounding cities that are considered part of the Greater Lille and easily accessible by public transport.
