Which areas are best to live for a long term?

Hello. I just moved to Tallinn to work for the local startup company.
So now I am looking for a suitable apartment to live for a long term.

I am really interested which areas are the best to live for a long term. My budget is approximately 700 EUR (+/- for monthly costs). I am looking for some modern area, not far from city center (20 mins on a public transport is OK).

I found some good apartments at Kristiine. So, what local people think of Kristiine here? Is it safe and good for a long term?

I would appreciate any answers, clarifications and reviews!

Kristiine is a fairly nice choice. It is quiet, lots of new apartment complexes, but I can't say it's modern. Other than that, very good - safe and easily accessible.
Maybe consider area near Rocca Al Mare center, though you should be quick, there are not many options.

Hello, im an estonian living in kristiine. I have no complaints by living here. A good thing is the shopping centre called kristiine keskus. It has everything you need. Transportation is well connected. There is a shortage of parks and places to relax though.
As red per your description a really modern place to live would be rotermanni kvartal (google it).
And a really beautiful and exclusive place would be Kadriorg or old town.

Kristiine is considered to be a good place to live, the connection is good to the city center and there are places for grocery shopping etc. Not sure about restaurant/cafe offer too much.
I live in Pelgulinn but it is not modern area, rather cute and classic, and I am loving it as most of the houses have big yards.
You could check Rotermanni which is one of the most modern and basically next to the old town. Check also area Sibulaküla or close by port and Kadriorg has new apartments built.
