Who are the best internet providers in London?

I know, a question that can get heated fast. The price is not so much an issue, more speed, reliability and how fast an installation could be possible.
Specifically looking for the Deptford and New Cross area. Thanks a lot for any opinion or tip.

Depends, you’ve got a lot of different ones:

• DSL based, like TalkTalk, you will have cheap connection but also speed limited.
• Fiber, like Virgin Media, you will get the highest speeds and no need to pay landline.
• Big providers such as BT might offer Fiber or DSL depending on the area and will give you crappy wifi thorough the city.

Other alternatives, like Relish are not widely available but worth checking.

My recommendation, if it’s for a professional connection is Andrews & Arnold ISP, they’ve got brilliant online support and respect privacy and customers.

The best ISP in London is really AA ISP http://aa.net.uk/ it's the ISP's ISP. Run by network nerds that really love what they do.

They are the only ISP that has no filtering whatsoever whereas other big ISP's have porn and torrent and other questionable censorship filters they do not do any of that.

They also provide full IPv6 (and up to /48 address reservation) to every customer by default.

Speeds up to 80Mbps (same as every other FTTC provider). They have a bit weird but ultimately very transparent pricing.

I have had them for over a year and it's been a breeze. Their support is also very competent.

I would highly recommend fibre broadband with Sky, they have never let me down with speed/service
